Praise the Lord 2009

Praise the Lord 2009

The parish and choir of St. Nicholas Church, Barberton, Ohio, sponsored their first annual Festival of Choirs on Sunday, April 20. Those participating were St. Paul's Moore Memorial Methodist, St. Elia The Prophet Orthodox Church OCA, Cornerstone Free Methodist, the Parma Byzantine Eparchial Choir, and the choir of St. Nicholas Church.

The afternoon was filled with joyous music, singing the praises of our Lord. Because of the various denominations participating, it was truly a meeting of East and West, with each group singing from the heart in their respective styles.

All of the choirs joined together to close the program with a moving rendition of the transcending song, "Amazing Grace ".

Refreshments were served in the church hall, providing all the participants from the different choirs time to spend together in fellowship, and to share with each other the joyous unity in our common love of singing the praises of our God.
